Instruction:
Cut each heart tile in half so that you have the number on half of the heart and the corresponding dots on another. You will get 10 number halves and 10 halves with dots on.

Preparation:
Print 1 blank domino mat and 12 hearts for each student. (You can ask your students to cut them themselves).
Description:
With the help of the flashcards show how hearts are arranged to represent individual numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
-Tell students numbers and ask them to arrange as many hearts on their domino mats.
Depending on their level you can teach them how numbers can broken down e.g.
4 (1+ 3, 3+1, or 2+2) or let them discover the different possibilities alone.
